Interested in Joining Bellydance Evolution or Looking for a transformative, challenging performance intensive?

Attention Dancers! Our professional dance company will no longer have open casting calls for tours. Due to the demanding choreography and intense schedule, auditions for the professional BDE cast will be invite only. If you're aspiring to dance with our professional company, participating in a BDExperience is the first step.

If you're passionate about dance and crave a challenging and performance-intensive experience, sign up for one of our BDExperience performance intensives. These intensives will not only push your skills to the next level but also provide you with the chance to work closely with our talented team of directors.

These intensives are designed to train dancers to take the stage in a theatrical production. Dancers receive 4-6 weeks of online training in advance of 4 rehearsal days and a performance in a theater. Costumes are provided.  Dancers will get to work closely with our talented team, gaining invaluable experience and insight into our company's unique style. These intensives are made for intermediate to professional level dancers, ensemble and lead roles are available.

About the program

Jillina's BDExperience is an intensive, professional development program for intermediate to professional belly dancers looking for theatrical performance experience.

Online Application

Dancers Apply online from all over the world to join the program and audition online with BDE Choreography. 

Online Training

Dancers receive online trainingfor 4-6 weeks, learning choreography via instructional video and live meet-ups with the directors. Cast members receive individual feedback on their progress.

In-person Intensive

Dancers receive online trainingfor 4-6 weeks, learning choreography via instructional video and live meet-ups with the directors. Cast members receive individual feedback on their progress.

Meet the Directors

Jillina Carlano, Artistic Director

Jillina Carlano has over 30 years experience producing results with dancers all over the globe. She was the founding Artistic Director and Main Choreographer for the Bellydance Superstars and toured throughout the world including. In 2009, Jillina created Bellydance Evolution to take the art of belly dance to new heights. Since then the company has performed in over 20 countries and was featured at the Magazine Festival in Morocco. 

Sabah has decades of experience in classical, modern, and folk styles of dance as an instructor, choreographer and performer. She has been a member of dance companies such as Chicago's Festival Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Momenta Modern Dance Company, Troupe Aman Aman, American University in Cairo's Folkloric group, and The Bellydance Superstars -where she served as Artistic Director and contributing choreographer.  She is currently the Artistic Productions Director at Bellydance Evolution.

 

Luna Poumian is trained in ballet, synchronized swimming, hip hop and contemporary dance. It was in 2007 where she got involved with Middle Eastern Dance and she found her true passion for it. Luna joined the BDE cast in 2014 as an ensemble member in "Alice in Wonderland" and continued to grow into lead roles in "Fantasm: 1001 Nights." In 2017 she opened "Casa Luna" Dance Home in Mexico as a space for teaching, practicing and experimenting with movement as a form of expression. She is currently playing a principal role and the Technical Director of Bellydance Evolution.

Viri Reyes is a certified Arab dance teacher from the Arabian Dance School of Amir Thaleb, with training at the National College of Contemporary Dance. Founder of Levana Studio and the Aaminah Ballet Bellydance company, her impact as a dancer, choreographer, and educator resonates in Querétaro and beyond. Amidst her achievements, she continues to share her expertise through workshops in congresses, solidifying her status as an influential global dancer.  She has performed with Bellydance Evolution since 2015 and has been featured as the original Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz production.  She is currently Bellydance Evolution's Dance Captain and co-direct on tour.

Apply to join the cast of Jillina's BDExperience Alice in Wonderland in Texas! Accepted dancers will receive 4-6 weeks of online training with individual feedback from our coaches 4 days of in studio rehearsal in Houston (August 12-15) Perform in the Alice in Wonderland in Houston on August 16 And in Austin on August 18 Tuition for accepted dancers is $700 Lead & Ensemble roles available!

BDEx Denmark Application 2024

Apply to join the cast of Jillina's BDExperience Alice in Wonderland in Denmark! Accepted dancers will receive 4-6 weeks of online training with individual feedback from our coaches 4 days of in studio rehearsal in Denmark (November 4-7) Perform in the Alice in Wonderland in Denmark at the Danish Open Bellydance Festival  Friday, November 8 Tuition for accepted dancers is $650 Lead, Ensemble, Oriental and Fusion roles available!

Bellydance Evolution Professional Cast Audition

However if you would still like to be considered for a future BDE Cast, you may complete an online audition here.

BDE Professional Audition: Jungle Book

Audition to join BDE's The Jungle Book Cast members are primarily chosen from BDE and BDEx Alumni. If your goal is to join a BDE cast, we highly recommend participating in BDExperience first. If you are still interested in auditioning for a future BDE cast, please submit audition materials here.
